It’s been a while since we’ve had an animal or pet challenge, so let’s mix it up for the this challenge and turn our lenses to Animal Antics! Playful, mischievous, loving, serene, silly and regal are just a few of the descriptions that come to mind when thinking of the animals we love. See if you can’t capture your favorite pet or wild animal in your favorite mood!
OFFICIAL ENTRY RULES
To officially enter the Creative Challenge, you must tag your three submissions with creative-challenge-animalantics. You can then view them and everyone else’s submissions on the DISPLAY PAGE (it updates about every hour). To find out more about this, read the Using Tags on Creative Challenges post.
Submission Guidelines
1. Our editors look for sharp, clear horizontal images that are at a minimum resolution of 800×600 (submissions can have larger resolutions than this). Currently, vertical images cannot fit in the homepage template. Therefore, we cannot publish vertical or narrow panoramic images.
2. Images with added text or images, including watermarks, logos, copyright symbols, graphic borders, frames and time stamps, will not be considered for first place or being featured on the homepage at a later date. Collages, however, are acceptable. Images submitted should be your own.
3. Please do not submit pictures that have already been featured on the homepage.
4. The Creative Challenge runs from 12:01 a.m. on February 17 to 12:00 p.m. on March 1 (all times EST).
5. 3 pictures per person (regardless of how many member accounts you have) tagged exactly (including hyphens) with: creative-challenge-animalantics
*Note:Images that don’t meet the exact guidelines can be submitted and viewed for everyone to enjoy, but please understand that we cannot publish images that don’t meet minimum guidelines on the homepage. NEXT CHALLENGE THEME: Luck of the Irish
Believe it or not, St. Patrick’s day is just around the corner! The day is full of parades, parties, shamrocks and everything green. This challenge we’ll be looking for images of celebration, reflection and fun. So find the little bit of Irish and submit your best to the Creative Challenge!
Joy…pain…contemplation…goofy…and more were the subjects of the wonderful entries in the Creative Challenge: Facial Expressions. We had a lot of fun looking through these great faces, and these were our favorites:

Dear Members,
Some of you may have noticed that your photos may be temporarily “missing.” Over the past few months, we’ve been moving photos from old servers to new ones, and we’re about a third of the way through—it takes a while to move several copies of 650+ million photos and videos.
We are also working on an option to transfer the images that aren’t as noticeable to to you so you won’t see “missing images.” During this time, you may see missing images until the transfer is complete. We will update you in the blog once this work is finished.
Explore the interesting faces and expressions they have in the next challenge. When a photographer successfully captures a moment of quite reflection or a rowdy crowd, the image evokes a connection with the viewer. What expression do you want to share with the world?

Happy Groundhog Day! Are you wishing for another 6 months of Winter or an early Spring? Judging from all the entries, it seems that Spring seems to have the popular vote, but there were several remarkably beautiful images of Winter as well. From the vast landscapes to the detailed macro images, we very much enjoyed viewing all the entries.
