Throughout the world on a daily basis, we all pass through gates and doors with such varying character. From the majestic to the mundane, gates and doors can open the world of a wonderful photo opportunities. For this creative challenge, our members submitted numerous quality entries. It was a difficult task, but the judges felt that based on composition, technique, color, originality, uniqueness of subject, overall execution and how well the image best fit the theme, these 10 images (and one honorable mention) were most deserving of special recognition.

We’ve been working hard on some new and exciting features for our members and are proud to announce that beginning next week, select Target stores will carry an all new Webshots card collection! This new line features fun, colorful photos from our talented community members, paired with lighthearted quotes for a variety of sending occasions. From birthdays to love and friendship, there’s a Webshots card that you’ll be proud to send.

We know and love the work you produce and share on Webshots and believe in your talent, so our team approached our parent company, American Greetings, about a greeting card line featuring you! When the idea was pitched to Target, they were impressed by the fresh, inspiring images our members share on the site. After reviewing millions of photos on site, the Webshots editors approached the finalists for permission to use their photos on the new card line. After several months of discussions, planning and review, we’re super excited to let you know the cards will be in select Target stores starting next week! YAY!

For the latest, up-to-date information on the Webshots card line and to find out if they can be purchased at a Target near you, follow us on Twitter (@WebshotsTweets). We’ll be tweeting daily updates on when select stores across the U.S. will begin carrying them.
