If one is good, isn’t more better? In this challenge, we’ll be looking for multiples of a given subject (trees, people, etc.) that make an image stronger and more interesting by their repetition, patterns, or composition.

Submission Guidelines
1. Our editors look for sharp, clear horizontal images that are at a minimum resolution of 800×600 (submissions can have larger resolutions than this). Currently, vertical images cannot fit in the homepage template. Therefore, we cannot publish vertical or narrow panoramic images.

2. Images with added text or images, including watermarks, logos, copyright symbols, graphic borders, frames and time stamps, will not be considered for first place or being featured on the homepage at a later date. Collages, however, are acceptable. Images submitted should be your own.

3. Please do not submit pictures that have already been featured on the homepage.

4. The Creative Challenge runs from 12:01 a.m. on November 25 to 12:00 p.m. on December 7 (all times EST).

It happens every year, the holiday’s sneak up! Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s are coming up fast. For the next creative challenge, share a holiday moment, decoration, symbolic object or story.

NEXT CHALLENGE THEME: To Be Determined
We’re sorry to say the creative challenge will be put on a temporary leave over the next couple weeks. The staff is working full-time (and then some!) on a brand new design for Pro Shots which will be going live in the next month (yay!). We’re very excited about the new site, and hope you’ll love it as much as we do .

The Challenge should be back in a matter of weeks - you may not get as much advanced notice for the next one, but I’m hopeful that we can have one for you on the 25th.

Rule #1 when judging a food-related Creative Challenge: Don’t do it hungry! The mouth-watering photos featured in the Creative Challenge: In My Kitchen look good enough to eat. Not only are you many of you great photographers, but you’re also amazing cooks. I will be contacting several of you for recipes. Here are the top photos:

From using mirrors to capture creative angles of an object or to create a self-portrait, to mirror-like reflections in water, metal, etc., this challenge was more open to interpretation, and the entries didn’t disappoint! The next challenge will roll around just in time for that spookiest of holidays - Halloween! We had some super spooky images in the Basic Black challenge, so I’m sure you’ll find plenty of great photo opportunities for this challenge too!

We loved all the gorgeous fall colors in the Creative Challenge: Autumn Fun, so it was difficult for us to choose our favorites—every photo had us “oohing!” and “ahhing!” The good news is that many of these photos will be showcased in an upcoming editor’s collection, so stay tuned.
