Photo walks, a popular activity among photo-sharing communities, let us all be a part of something no matter where we are in the world. By taking a walk this weekend and sharing the pictures with us, you’re contributing to a global mural of life.

So put on your walking shoes, grab your camera and go for a walk. You’ll be surprised at the photographic opportunities that present themselves. We’d love to see all of your photos as you can submit as many as you like!

Please tag your photos with Weekend Photo Walk 101 and then post your links in the comment section. Your entries won’t be judged—this is just for the fun of it!

Hi Walkers,
Join me if you like awhile I walk around town during ArtNight Fall 09 in Pasadena California. On this night museums are open and free. I could only visit a few of them because I worked late that night, but still had a good time at the ones that I did go into. I have pictures from Pacific Asia Museum, Armory Center for the Arts, and Art Center College of Design.

This past weekend the Fall Call of the yard kept me busy at home dealing with the leaves, but I just had to take my new Canon G11 camera out for a walk around the yard. Nice thing about Fall is even a yard walk can be spectacular.
The ginko and the dwarf maple are a couple of my favorite subjects in my yard. enjoy!

Hi Walkers, Join us as we explored the Canaveral National Seashore last weekend. Our main reason for the trip was to see the new Ares 1-X rocket on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center. It was successfully launched on a test flight on Wednesday.

Have a great weekend - and Happy Halloween.

Years ago my husband took me to a piece of property owned by the company he works for and we visited a family of Scrub Jays. Recently I had asked him about the property, with a much newer camera and a desire to see them again, my husband asked if they still owned the property. They did, but the Scrub Jays had not been seen for a couple of years. Last week we went armed with a tape that is used to attract them, and hope. We found on Scrub Jay and some other odds and ends. Here is my walk. Enjoy!

Last weekend I took a walk over the Brijuni islands.
The Brijuni are a group of fourteen small islands in the Croatian part of the northern Adriatic Sea, separated from the west coast of the Istrian peninsula by the narrow Fažana Strait. The largest island, lies 2 km off the coast.

http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/574744275IahBIA I’ve been taking my Granddaughter to riding lessons once a week since summer. In September she had her first horse show and took four ribbons. She got fifth place twice, six once and took one blue ribbon. Grandma was very proud of her and would like to share this with you now.

Hurray! Instead of going out walking today, I stayed home while my high-speed connection was set up. Now, I’ve been able to quickly and easily upload the scarecrow photos I took last weekend. Here’s the link:

I have lived near Durand Eastman Park for 20 years, driven by it and walked the fringes of it but never headed deep into the park like I did this past weekend. It was a gorgeous sunny morning and I took off for a solitary walk through the park with my camera in hand, hoping to capture some of the beautiful fall foliage.

As I walked deeper and deeper into the park, I was so enthralled with the Mother Nature’s beauty that I didn’t want to leave, but I also couldn’t wait to see the pictures I had taken. That first batch of pictures simply took my breath away. Then, the following morning, I woke to a deep shroud of fog blanketing our neighborhood. Needless to say, I immediately thought of the park and headed off to capture some more pictures in an entirely different mood. Here’s the link to the pictures that I captured during my Weekend Photo Walk:

Weekend Photo Walk 101 — a walk down a fishing beach in Kalba, UAE along the Gulf of Oman (Indian Ocean)with two long-term friend here on a visit. Watched fishermen pulling in nets and collecting fish, seabirds enjoying the harvest, and enjoying beachcombing and picking up shells. A lovely day at the oceanside.

Come along for two drives I took this week through fall color in the North Georgia Mountains. We’ve had so much rain that I didn’t think we’d have nice color … but take a look - it was gorgeous! Both rides were in and/or after rain, so the colors were much richer. Only drawback was that there were no blue skies. Enjoy. Susan

My family and I visited a local historic district, called “Heritage Village”. It’s located in Largo, FL and has beautiful canopied walkways and old homes that you can tour inside. You can even buy an old Coke classic and open it up on an old fashioned coke cooler!
